SPONSORS OF NORTHSOUNDS CASH FOR KIDS APPEAL 2023

This year ‘Thistle Kitchens & Bathrooms’ are the exclusive Sponsor of Northsound’s Cash for Kids Coat Appeal. This supports boys and girls from birth up to age 18 years, the children applied for are disadvantaged, disabled, or living in poverty within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

For many families during the winter months, it can be a stark choice of eating or heating the home. Many parents survive on 1 meal per day to ensure their children have enough to eat and can heat the house. 

So, when it comes time to buy a winter jacket and suitable winter shoes this can send a family into crisis as they just don’t have enough money coming in. 

Northsound’s Cash for Kids identified this need and decided to run an appeal each year to tackle it. Often this is the first time these children have new clothes of their own. Last year the appeal was closed at the end of October with a total of 3,444 applications and ultimately Coat Appeal Vouchers which were issued to these struggling families.
